Get help from us
Ask a question, report a problem, or request a feature. You do not need technical knowledge to get help.

Choose a way to get in touch
- Use the contact form for help with recording, editing, sharing, or your account.
- Email [email protected] if you prefer email.
- Use GitHub issues to report a reproducible bug or request a feature. Check whether someone has already reported the same problem.
- Inside Screenix, open Help and choose Send feedback. Select Bug Report, Feature Request, or General Feedback, then enter your message and email.
What helps us understand the problem
Do not let missing technical details stop you from asking. A plain description of what happened is enough to start.
- What you wanted to do, such as record a lesson with microphone and camera or export a vertical demo.
- The steps just before it failed and the exact message shown in Screenix.
- Your Screenix version, Linux distribution, and desktop name if you know them. In-app feedback automatically includes the app version, so you do not need to look it up to send that report.
- Whether you were using Studio, Instant, or Screenshot, and whether the source was a monitor or window.
- Whether the saved file plays outside Screenix, and whether the issue happens every time or only with one project.
- A screenshot or short sample, if useful, with private information removed. Ask how to provide a file if the form cannot attach it.
Use the error's Contact support button
Some recording errors include a Contact support button. It opens the website form with the error details already filled in. Add what you were doing, review the message, then send it.
Feedback sent from inside Screenix includes the app version, operating system, and whether your session uses X11 or Wayland. These are two Linux display systems with different screen-sharing behavior. You can still send feedback without knowing which one you use.
If the app's feedback form cannot send, use email or the website contact form instead. Keep a copy of your message before trying again.
A simple message you can use
“I am trying to [what you want to do]. I chose [Studio, Instant, or Screenshot] and then [your steps]. I expected [result], but [what happened]. The message says [exact wording]. My Screenix version is [version]. This happens [every time or sometimes].”
