Screen Studio for Windows: there isn't one, here's what to use.
Screen Studio is a macOS app, and its makers say Windows support is not coming. If you want that look on a PC, the right tool depends on one question: does your recording happen in a browser or in a desktop app?

Which one fits
Extension or desktop app?
Pick Screenix for Chrome if
Your demo, tutorial or bug report happens in a web app or on a website
You want the Screen Studio look without installing anything on Windows
You switch between PCs, or between Windows and a Mac, and want one tool
You want the video ready the moment you stop recording
Pick A Windows desktop app if
You record desktop software, a game, a file explorer or a terminal
You need two monitors or a region of the screen
You record long full-screen courses with heavy editing
Why no Windows version
Screen Studio is built on macOS APIs
Screen Studio is a native Mac app. It records the screen through macOS and keeps mouse movement as data, then re-renders the cursor and zooms afterwards. That design is what gives its videos their look, and it ties the app to macOS. Its FAQ says Windows support is not planned for the near future.
Sites that promise a Screen Studio download for Windows or a cracked PC version are selling something else or something unsafe. There is no Windows build to download.
In the browser
Screenix for Chrome does the same thing to a tab
Screenix for Chrome records the tab you're on through Chrome's screencast, without the system cursor, and keeps mouse movement, clicks and cursor shapes separately. It then draws a spring-smoothed cursor, zooms in on your clicks and frames the recording on a background, the same way Screen Studio does for a Mac screen.
Instant mode renders the finished MP4 while you record. Studio mode keeps the raw recording and opens an editor for trims, cuts, speed, crop, zooms, cursor themes, browser frame and the camera bubble, then exports MP4 or WebM up to 4K at 120 fps. Everything is encoded locally on your PC.
Works on any Windows PC that runs Chrome, no admin rights needed
Follows you between tabs in the same window, through links and reloads
Microphone, camera and tab audio in the popup
Share links need a Screenix yearly or team plan
Outside the browser
For desktop apps, pick a desktop recorder
A Chrome extension can't see Excel, Visual Studio, a game or the Windows desktop. If that's what you need to record, look at the Windows desktop apps with auto zoom and cursor smoothing. We compared seven of them, with prices and trade-offs, on the Screen Studio alternatives for Windows page linked below.
What you get
Every detail of a good demo, handled for you.
Auto zoom
Zooms that follow your clicks
Screenix zooms in on every click and pans with the cursor, so viewers see what you did without squinting. Keep the automatic zooms or move, resize and add your own on the timeline.
Screenix records the page without your system cursor, then draws a crisp macOS-style one in its place, with spring smoothing, click bumps, motion blur and a soft fade when you stop moving. 16 cursor themes, all adjustable.
Screenix for Chrome records the tab in front of you, so it can draw a perfect cursor over pure page pixels.
Records browser tabs
Screenix captures the page in the tab you're on, at full quality, without your system cursor.
Follows you between tabs
Switch tabs, open links or reload in the same window and the recording keeps going in one take.
Tab audio from the first tab
Your mic and camera record throughout. Page sound comes from the tab you started on.
Not your whole screen
It doesn't capture your desktop, other apps or other windows. On Linux, the Screenix desktop app does.
FAQ
You have questions. We have answers.
No. Screen Studio is a macOS app, and its FAQ says there are no near-future plans for Windows.
Nothing has been announced. The developer says Windows support is not planned, so don't wait for it if you need to record on a PC now.
For anything in a browser, Screenix for Chrome: auto zoom on clicks, a smooth redrawn cursor, a camera bubble and a framed background, as an extension. For desktop apps, a Windows desktop recorder such as FocuSee or Canvid, compared on our alternatives page.
No. It records Chrome tabs only and follows you between tabs in the same window. It doesn't capture desktop apps, other windows or a second monitor.
Yes. Recording, editing and exporting are free with a small watermark, with no limit on recordings or length. A $19 one-time license removes the watermark.
Running macOS on non-Apple hardware is against Apple's license terms, and screen recording inside a VM would capture the VM, not your Windows apps. It isn't a practical route.
