Pick Screenix for Chrome if
- You're on Windows, Linux or a Mac you'd rather not pay a subscription for
- Your product, tutorial or bug lives in a web app
- You want the video finished the moment you stop recording
- You'd rather pay once than every month
Screen Studio made auto zoom and smooth cursors the standard for product demos, but only on a Mac and only by subscription. Screenix for Chrome brings the same polish to any computer that runs Chrome, for a one-time price.

Which one fits
The same idea
What makes Screen Studio videos look so good isn't the capture, it's what happens afterwards: the cursor is smoothed, the camera zooms toward each click, and the recording sits on a soft background with rounded corners.
Screenix works the same way inside Chrome. It records the page without your system cursor and keeps mouse movement, clicks and cursor shapes separately. Then it renders a spring-smoothed macOS-style cursor with motion blur, zooms on your clicks and frames the result on a wallpaper, gradient or color.
The honest difference
Screen Studio captures anything on your Mac. Screenix for Chrome captures the tab in front of you and follows you to other tabs in the same window. It can't record a desktop app, your terminal or a second monitor.
That trade-off is what lets it run anywhere Chrome runs. For SaaS demos, onboarding videos, website walkthroughs and bug reports, the browser is usually all you need. On Linux, the Screenix desktop app records the full screen with the same zoom and cursor.
Price
Screen Studio is now subscription-only, at $29 a month or $108 a year, and you can't export without one. Screenix lets you record, edit and export for free with a small watermark, and $19 once removes it in your browser, with every future update.
What you get
The cursor, rebuilt
Screenix records the page without your system cursor, then draws a crisp macOS-style one in its place, with spring smoothing, click bumps, motion blur and a soft fade when you stop moving. Seven cursor themes, all adjustable.
Add to ChromeAuto zoom
Screenix zooms in on every click and pans with the cursor, so viewers see what you did without squinting. Keep the automatic zooms or move, resize and add your own on the timeline.
Add to ChromeFollows your tabs
Open a link, jump to another tab or reload the page. Screenix keeps recording whichever tab is in front in the same window, so a whole flow fits in one take.
Add to ChromeCamera and audio
Add your webcam as a bubble you can drag anywhere, round or square, with your microphone and the sound of the tab you started on.
Add to ChromeKnow before you install
Screenix for Chrome records the tab in front of you, so it can draw a perfect cursor over pure page pixels.
Screenix captures the page in the tab you're on, at full quality, without your system cursor.
Switch tabs, open links or reload in the same window and the recording keeps going in one take.
Your mic and camera record throughout. Page sound comes from the tab you started on.
It doesn't capture your desktop, other apps or other windows. On Linux, the Screenix desktop app does.
